President Trump delivered what will go down in history as one of the truly great State of the Union speeches last night.
The numbers are in and America approved. Ian Bremmer – a fairly impartial observer who leans slightly left tweeted this out and he wasn’t wrong:
“Best result I’ve seen from a Trump speech since his election.”

Trump touched on all the important subjects and did the impossible – he brought the nation together if only for one night.
Sure, there is much to do to mend the country’s divisiveness but with Trump at the helm and offering multiple olive branches to the Democrats, the ball is in Chuck and Nancy’s court.
If they do the right thing we will see America come together like never before. If they do not the Democrats will go down in flames in 2018 and 2020.
Either way, Trump wins.
But most people missed what was the key moment of his address last night. The moment he put China and Putin on notice and basically embarrassed Obama for his weak leadership.
“President Donald Trump declared Tuesday that China and Russia threaten American values, confirming Washington’s pivot to great power rivalry as the core of its national security policy.
“Around the world, we face rogue regimes, terrorist groups and rivals like China and Russia that challenge our interests, our economy, and our values,” Trump told Congress in his State of the Union address.
“In confronting these dangers, we know that weakness is the surest path to conflict, and unmatched power is the surest means of our defense.””
By weakness, he means you, Barack Obama.
