The blowback from Nancy Pelosi’s epic salon blunder continues with news that a GoFundMe page set up to support the salon owner who blew the whistle on Pelosi has passed the $100k mark.
Amy Tarkanian, former Nevada State GOP chairman who set up the page, said the online effort for Erica Kious hauled in more than $100,000 in its first hours of existence.
Mrs. Tarkanian said the goal is to raise $300,000 for Kious as after earning Pelosi’s wrath she will not be able to work in San Francisco.
“Erica Kious, a single mother of two and owner of eSalon, where House Speaker Nancy Pelosi got her hair done on Monday, is now being forced to shut down and relocate her business and family due to outrage and threats she is receiving,” Mrs. Tarkanian said.
“A maskless House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visited eSalon on Monday afternoon for a wash and blow-out, despite local ordinances keeping salons closed amid the coronavirus pandemic,” she added.
“I have been friends with Erica and her family for roughly 20 years and wanted to help,” she said.
“Thank you for taking the time to do the same. she is overwhelmed by the flood of support and is grateful for those who are willing to speak out and stand up along her side,” Mrs. Tarkanian said.
“At the conclusion of this fundraiser, all donations will go directly to Erica to pay off any debts from the business that she is forced to shut down, expenses to relocate and reopen in a new location,” the page says.
