Tensions are rising between President Trump and his ex-chief strategist Steve Bannon. The President issued a brutal four paragraph response to Bannon after he called Donald Trump Jr. “treasonous” for meeting with Russian operatives during the campaign.
“Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my presidency. When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind. Steve was a staffer who worked for me after I had already won the nomination by defeating seventeen candidates, often described as the most talented field ever assembled in the Republican party.”
Thursday evening, President Trump came out swinging taking to twitter after the nonstop gossip of the anti-Trump book written by Michael Wolff- Fire and Fury..”
The book that will be released Friday paints a negative image about the President, but Trump’s legal team has sent a cease-and-desist letter to stop the publication of the book due to its falsehoods, outright lies, and defamation.
The White House says the book is full of “false and misleading accounts”. Sarah pointed out that the staffers quoted in the book have already DISPUTED these quotes. She also called the book “Sad” and “Pathetic.”
“I’m not going to waste my time or the countries time going page by page talking about a book that’s complete fantasy and just full of tabloid gossip, because it’s sad and pathetic.”
Press Sec Sarah Sanders
President Trump took to twitter and blasted Michael Wolff and Steve Bannon, also giving Bannon a new nickname. “I authorized Zero access to White House (actually turned him down many times) for author of phony book! I never spoke to him for book. Full of lies misrepresentations and sources that don’t exist. Look at this guy’s past and watch what happens to him and Sloppy Steve!”
