NFL Players Struck Dumb After Hearing President Trump’s New Super Bowl Plans

The NFL continues their slide to irrelevancy and they don’t seem able to stop it. What was once a perfectly good game has been ruined by political stunts meant to enrage not entertain.

Trump tried to tell them but they simply will not listen.

Now with the Super Bowl looming some NFL players are back at it.

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Torrey Smith just announced (joining defensive end Chris Long) he will refuse an invitation to visit the White House if the Eagles beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl because of his disdain for President Trump.

He will regret it if they win because this will be the only invite he ever gets to the people’s house, and when he is old and grey he will look back and think – “what a fool.”

Smith, proving that not all publicity is good publicity, tried to get sympathy for the NFL anthem protestors saying,

“I understand why people are mad or may be offended when someone takes a knee…People call it an anthem protest, it’s not an anthem protest. It’s a protest during the anthem.”

You know what that call that kind of rationalization? A distinction without a difference. In other words, the guy is full of it.

According to Breitbart, he added:

“I’m not saying we’re right about everything, but we’re willing to figure out what is right. We’re willing to work with people to find the best way to move forward because there are problems and we’re not shy about speaking up about them.”

Not going to the White House is a step backward not forward.

These two clowns, win or lose, will be forgotten quicker than the score of the way too long game or one of the stupid commercials they pack into every dead ball timeout.

Trump is done with these goons and in fact, he is done with the entire league.

After trying to talk some sense into the NFL, Trump has decided on an entirely new and totally embarrassing way to deal with the NFL.

Just ignore them.

They were begging him to do the traditional half-time presidential interview, which is always a highly rated event.

Trump sells and the NFL needs all the help they can get these days but Trump is done.

He told them thanks but no thanks.

“He is not doing a Super Bowl interview,” a White House official told CNN Wednesday.

Good for you, Mr. President.
